Baby Shark is a kids song and global phenomenon thanks to its YouTube video which sparked a dance craze.

Originally released in June 2016, the catchy track went viral in 2018. Baby Shark first entered the Official Singles Chart Top 40 in September 2018, and dipped in and out of the top flight. By the beginning of 2019, thanks to a number of festive songs going on their merry way, Baby Shark leapt into the Top 10 to make a splash with a new chart peak of Number 6.

Baby Shark was released by South Korean entertainment company Pinkfong, on 13 January 2022, it officially became the world's first video ever to reach 10 billion views on YouTube — the most-viewed video in YouTube history at that point in time.
