The Last Dinner Party are an indie rock band, comprising Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts, Georgia Davies, and Aurora Nishevci. Forming initially in 2020 before performing together for the first time in 2021, the band quickly inked a deal with Island Records and released their major label debut single, Nothing Matters, produced by Arctic Monkeys hitmaker James Ford.
Winners of the BRITs Rising Star 2024 award, following in the footsteps of previous recipients including Adele and Sam Fender, The Last Dinner Party have already opened for the Rolling Stones at BST Hyde Park and played Glastonbury.
Their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, entered the UK Official Albums Chart at Number 1, with the biggest opening week of any band in nine years, since Years & Years in 2015. The Last Dinner Party also delivered the fastest-selling vinyl debut of any group this century, surpassing Wet Leg by selling more than 14,000 units on vinyl in its first week on sale.
The Last Dinner Party were also announced as the winners of the BBC Sound Of...2024 poll, beating out the likes of Peggy Gou, Tyla and Olivis Dean.
