Ariana Grande's seventh studio album, and first in nearly four years, is due for release March 8 via Republic Records. If the fierce strut of handbag house lead single yes, and? is anything to go by, we're about to witness Ari's return to the dancefloor, and a full-scale reunion with producers Max Martin and ILYA, whom she hasn't worked with since 2019's thank u, next.

It takes its name from Michel Gondry's 2004 film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Minds, starring Jim Carrey, which in turn was inspired by a line from Alexander Pope's poem Eloisa to Abelard. Essentially, its title is an extended metaphor about memory; that you can wipe your mind of all the pain, sorrow and heartbreak, where you enter a blissful state...the titular eternal sunshine.
