I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY
by CREATOR UNIVERSE
Creator Universe are 30 leading UK TikTok stars who have come together to compete for the 2023 Christmas Number 1, in aid of food bank charity The Trussell Trust.
The collective of social media creators have been earmarked by Official Charts as key contenders in the Christmas Number 1 race, throwing their hat into the ring with a cover of Wizzard's 1973 festive classic I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday. The charity single is officially released on 15 December 2023 to coincide with the first day of the UK's biggest chart race of the year.
Produced by Jamie Sellers, the man behind LadBaby's three most recent Christmas Number 1 singles Food Aid (2022), Sausage Rolls for Everyone ft Ed Sheeran and Elton John (2021) and Don't Stop Me Eatin' (2020), the Creator Universe cover version was recorded at London's iconic Abbey Road Studios.
100 per cent of profits raised from I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday will be donated to The Trussell Trust in what is anticipated to be the busiest winter ever at UK food banks, with more than 600,000 people being supported and a food parcel being distributed every eight seconds.
The featured creators on the Creator Universe Christmas Number 1 bid include Jess and Norma, The Famileigh, Amy-Jo Simpson, Yorkshire Peach, Rosie McClelland, The Nursey Nurse, Llewellyn-Harris, Lucy Edwards, Rossi D Woods, Phil Carr, Richard Franks, Clara Batten, Lee Chapman aka Peter Poppleton, Joshua Morris, OSHU, Ann Russell, Aman Sanghera, John Reynolds, Alex Dodman, Jamie Raines, Shaaba Lotun-Raines, Tommy Moore, Rob Colfer, Pia Blossom, Gavin Wren, Lafay Williams, Jess Asquith, Jake Scott, Choto Social and Liam Dixon.
Will Creator Universe succeed in bagging the coveted Christmas Number 1 of 2023? The race runs from Friday 15 December until 23.59pm Thursday 21 December, so whoever you're backing, get behind them before then.
The winner will be revealed on BBC Radio 1's The Official Chart from 4pm, 22 December. The full Top 100 singles will be published online from 5.45pm.
