GRIFF

Griff (born Sarah Faith Griffiths on January 21, 2001) is an English singer-songwriter from Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, born to Jamaican and Chinese parents. Griff's debut EP The Mirror Talk was released in November 2019. Griff was nominated by The Ivors Academy for an Ivor Novello Rising Star Award in July 2020, and came fifth in the BBC Sound of 2021 poll. Griff has collaborated with Russian-German DJ Zedd and English electronic duo HONNE, and co-wrote Hailee Steinfeld's Annie Lennox-sampling song I Love You's. Griff's 2020 single Love Is A Compass soundtracked Disney's Christmas TV advertisement campaign, with proceeds from the song benefitting The Make-A-Wish Foundation. On March 19, 2021, Griff was named the winner of the BRITs Rising Star Award and subsequently performed her first Official Singles Chart Top 40 hit Black Hole at the ceremony on May 11. BRIT's debut mixtape One Foot In Front Of The Other reached Number 4 on the UK's Official Albums Chart.
