Originally a leftover from Taylor Swift's 1989 sessions with Jack Antonoff (which birthed Taylor's most fruitful mid-career partnership and one of her best ever songs, Out Of The Woods), Is It Over Now was resurrected as a vault track for 1989 (Taylor's Version). The most popular of the new tracks featured, mostly because of how much it slots into the pre-determined narrative of the original 1989, Is It Over Now debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, becoming Taylor's third UK Number 1 single, following Look What You Made Me Do and Anti-Hero (interestingly enough, both Antonoff productions too).
