RAYE experiences massive chart uplift following record-breaking BRITs wins

Rachel Keen's heroic BRITs victory saw her vindicated by her peers - and now, the British public.
 Name raye brits uplift

We are, truly, living in the age of RAYE. Following her record-breaking haul at last weekend's BRIT Awards - where she became the most-awarded artist in a single night in the ceremony's history - Rachel Keen has seen this translate into real-time success on the Official Charts today.

Last Saturday, RAYE became the first artist in BRITs history to win six awards in a single night; Song of the Year, R&B Act, Best New Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Artist of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year for her debut album, My 21st Century Blues.

Now today, three tracks from RAYE impact the Top 40 of the Official Singles Chart, one for the first time ever.

Former Number 1 Escapism. ft. 070 Shake re-enters at Number 13, cassö and D-Block Europe collab Prada jumps nine to Number 18, while Worth It. scores its first week inside the Top 40, debuting at Number 38. It's the big band-influenced track's first time in the Official Singles Chart, having previously impacted the Official Singles Sales Chart.

It's worth noting, of course, that all three tracks were performed live at the BRITs by RAYE in a medley, alongside album cut Ice Cream Man, and a bracing new track, apparently called Let There Be Light.

Meanwhile, on the Official Albums Chart, My 21st Century Blues makes a phenomenal return to the Top 5 this week; vaulting 98 places (5). The album originally peaked at Number 2 upon its release in 2023.

While her record-breaking BRITs haul certainly saw RAYE vindicated by her music industry peers, this week's success on both the Official Singles and Official Albums Charts signify that the British public have also taken RAYE and her story into their hearts.

We have a feeling that the best is yet to come...
